Skate Park Update

Most people traveling around the city noticed a lot of construction activity at the skate

park site last week.  After installing drainage and pouring two layers of concrete, the

120 x 80' pad is complete, with a brushed concrete surface which provides the

smoothest ride for skateboarders.  Also progressing is the new dirt bike "pump track". 

By "pumping" at the right time, gravitational force and vertical downward thrust create

horizontal momentum - much harder than pedaling.  The city is looking forward to a
