The Code of Ordinances prohibits parking on city streets during a declared Snow Emergency. When a Snow Emergency has been declared, an announcement will be made on local radio stations, Cable Channel 6, and on the website (if declared during business hours). The City is seeking residents interested in serving on a City board or commission. There are currently vacancies on the: Harbor Commission, LDFA, Recreation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Applications for any boards and commissions are kept on file for future vacancies. An application can be found by clicking here or you can call 810-329-7121 if you have a question.

The winter tax bills have been mailed and can be paid without penalty until 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 29. Click here for assessment and tax information on your property.

 

 

dog with tagDog Licenses will be available at City Hall beginning Monday, December 5. The cost for a license is: $12.00 for a neutered dog, $22.00 for male/female dogs. On March 1, the cost will be increased to $40.00 for all dogs. Proof of current rabies vaccination and neutering are required before a license can be issued. Please bring your form from the County Dog Control Office when you purchase a license.
