The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed 2012-2013 budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2012.
The hearing will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 547 N. Carney Drive, St. Clair, Michigan on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 7:00 pm.
All interested citizens will have an opportunity to give oral or written comments. A copy of the proposed budget will be on file in the office of the City Clerk and is open to public inspection.

Civil War Soldiers of St. Clair - The Historical Museum is presenting dinner and a presentation of St. Clair Civil War Soldiers, their sacrafices and stories of survival. Friday, May 25, 2012, 5:00 pm, American Legion. Admission and dinner $12.50. Click here for more information.
The City's yard waste collection will begin the first week of April (on your regular trash collection day). Please remember, yard waste must be placed at the curb in approved compost bags (available at hardware and grocery stores) or in a container marked with an "X".
Brush (tree and shrubbery branches and trimmings) will be collected according to the following schedule:
North city limits to Brown Street - first Friday of the month
Brown Street to Vine Street - second Friday of the month
Vine Street to Clinton Avenue - third Friday of the month
Clinton Ave to the south city limits - fourth Friday of the month
Branches larger than 4" in diameter will not be collected and should not be placed at the curb. Normally, there is no charge for this service, however, if the time it takes to clear the brush exceeds one half hour, the property owner will be charged the actual time and equipment costs.
Fundraising is underway for the Fallen Hero Memorial honoring St. Clair police officers and firefighters who have given their life in the line of duty. The memorial will be located on S. Riverside Avenue adjacent to the Dwayne Williams and Veterans memorials. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for October 12, 2012. An important feature of the memorial is the Walk of Honor: a walkway of brick pavers honoring those that serve to protect our community. Bricks are $50 (4" x 8") and $100 (8" x 8"). The City of seeking residents interested in serving on a city board or commission. There are currently vacancies on the Harbor Commission, LDFA, Recreation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
