The City of St Clair is seeking a part-time Office Clerk. We are seeking a self-starter who can apply their skills, and deliver prompt and superior customer service.  The Municipal Building (City Hall) is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Hours will be set at 24 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm). The schedule may fluctuate up to a total of 30 hours per week depending on office staffing needs.

Potential candidates should have experience in an office setting, performing administrative or office management duties with a general knowledge of office operations. Candidate should be proficient in the use of a variety of MS Windows based programs. Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent

Under the general direction of the City Superintendent, the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent plans, directs, and participates in all aspects of the wastewater treatment plant and sanitary sewer collection stations including the operation, maintenance and repair of the treatment plant, lift stations, and related pumps to meet all State and Federal regulatory criteria.  This is a full time position. Water Treatment Plant Operator

The City of St. Clair announces an opening for the full-time position of Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Applicants are desired to possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License. An F-4 Water Treatment Certificate with the State of Michigan is required within 1 year of hire. Continued possession of a valid license/certificate is a condition of continued employment in this position. The position is a union position, represented under the existing bargaining unit agreement between the City of St. Clair and the Council 25, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO.

Department of Public Works (DPW) Laborer

The City of St. Clair announces a full-time opening for the position of a Laborer in the Department of Public Works.

Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Michigan commercial driver’s license with a “B” endorsement.  Continued possession of a valid license is a condition of continued employment in this position.  Other desired qualifications for this position include:  underground utility work (water/sewer line repairs), concrete work (forming, pouring, & flat work), catch-basin repairs, maintenance activities that will include (brush, leaf, and snow removal).  A valid water distribution certificate (S2 -> S4), with the State of Michigan, is preferred. This position is a union position, represented under the existing bargaining unit agreement between the City of St. Clair and the Council 25, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO.
