Water Treatment Plant Operator

The City of St. Clair announces an opening for the full-time position of Water Plant Operator.

Applicants are required to possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License and desired to have a F-4 Water Treatment Certificate with the State of Michigan. A F-4 Water Treatment Certificate with the State of Michigan is required within 18 months of hire. Continued possession of a valid license/certificate is a condition of continued employment in this position. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest to the City Superintendent by no later than 4:00pm on Friday, May 31, 2024.

The position is a union position, represented under the existing bargaining unit agreement between the City of St. Clair and the Council 25, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO.

Seasonal Bridge Operator

The City of St. Clair announces an opening for a seasonal position of Bridge Operator. The bridge is located on M-29 over the Pine River and functions May 1 through November 30. Boating knowledge is preferred but no operating experience is required as In-house training is provided. Scheduling is 6-hour shifts that range from 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm and 8pm-2am with approximately 24-30 hours per week expected. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest to the City Superintendent by no later than 4:00pm on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Seasonal Senior Transportation Driver

The City of St. Clair announces an opening for a seasonal position of Senior Transportation Driver. This position is available May 1 through October 1. Interested candidates must be 18, possess a valid Michigan Drivers and Chauffers License. The service operates out of City Hall and is available to residents 10:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday. Approximately 25-30 hours is expected per week. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest to the City Superintendent by no later than 4:00pm on Friday, May 31, 2024.
