River Day – Show the water some love!
Through River Day, the St. Clair County Health Department is committed to helping families enjoy a day together in the great outdoors which creates environmental stewards to last a lifetime. Since 2004, recreational activities have been organized in early June that allow everyone to celebrate our precious water resources. River Day returns on Saturday, June 13 with a full day of free activities on land and water. River Day corresponds with the DNR’s Free Fishing Weekend giving residents the chance to drop a line without a license. Experts will be on hand to help families with fishing activities and free fishing equipment is available for check-out at most St. Clair County library branches.
