M-29 road closure ending 11/2/23
Per the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), M-29 will be open by the end of the day today, November 2nd. There will be some work left next week but the road closure at the railroad and the temporary signal at the north end of town will be removed by end of today.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close a section of M-29 at the railroad tracks south of the bridge and have single lane closures on M-29 from St. Clair Highway to Bree Road to complete concrete patches and replace the CSX Railroad crossing in the city of St. Clair.
Monday, September 11, 2023: The City has received grant funding through MDOT's Transportation Alternatives Grant program and through the St. Clair Community Foundation to complete this project completing a critical gap of the overall master plan for the Bridge to Bay trail network.
